우리 각자는 서로 다른 수만가지 언어, 색, 질감으로 이루어져 있습니다. 우리는 각자의 방식으로 세상과 교류합니다. 제가 바라보는 세계는 이 무한한 서로다름의 집합체입니다. 이것은 질서정연한 혼돈과 같습니다. 모든 것은 보이지 않는 그물망처럼 상호 연결되어있으며, 저의 토템조각들은 공동체로서의 ‘우리’의 시적인해석입니다.
Each one of us is made of different languages, stories, colors and textures. We interact with the world in our own unique ways. Penetrating this chaotic yet well-orchestrated world as a collective of individuals, there is mysterious interconnectedness among all. Everything is all about ‘we’. Chaerin Park’s totem sculptures are poetic representation of ‘us’ as beautiful, peculiar individuals and also as part of the big picture.
